Changes

  • Improved transmission of 455 KHz IR signals, especially for B&O devicesTransmission of IR signals up to 1 GHz possible

iRed processes received infrared signals and can execute AppleScripts. Since almost any Mac OS X application is compatible with AppleScript, iRed can control hundreds of applications. For example the MP3 player iTunes on the Mac can now be controlled just the same way as a usual hi-fi system.

iRed comes with a basic suite of AppleScripts for selected applications like iTunes, or Keynote. Of course, for any received infrared signal arbitrary AppleScripts can be created. So, controlling a presentation in Keynote or PowerPoint is now easily possible.

Features:

  • Control your audio and video devices right from your Mac
  • Replace your old infrared remote controls
  • Merge all your different remotes into your Mac
  • Control your Mac with any infrared remote control
  • Browse your iTunes music library - from the sofa
  • Control your Keynote or PowerPoint presentation just with any remote control
